On Thursday the Georgia Professional Standards Commission approved sanctions against former Principal Sharon McAlevy and former teacher Denise Ogden, said Gary Walker, the commission's deputy executive secretary.
The commission was originally considering whether to ban the two educators from teaching in Georgia, but Dr. Walker, who also heads the commissions educator ethics division, said he could not say whether that penalty remained.
The commission began its investigation in April after accusations that Spirit Creek staff members were engaged in a love triangle and were having sex on campus.
The Richmond County school system began an investigation in October. Ms. Ogden and Ms. McAlevy resigned before the internal investigation was complete. The school system did not discipline either of them.
Four other school employees were disciplined as a result of the investigation.
