FORT JACKSON, S.C. — The Army says a soldier from Florida has died after being diagnosed with pneumonia during basic training.

Army officials said 23-year-old Spc. Christopher Hogg of Deltona, Fla., died Thursday, a week after he was taken to the hospital with fever and respiratory problems.

Hogg is the second soldier at Fort Jackson to die in less than a month. On Aug. 20 18-year-old Pvt. Jonathan Morales died of apparent heatstroke.

The article failed to mention
Unpublished

The article failed to mention the total number of soldiers dead during 2009 because that number is extremely high. Why wouldn't the total number of deaths at Ft. Jackson be included in a story about recent deaths? The military is being broken-no one really cares...
