College Night provides a valuable resource to CSRA high school students as they decide which college or university to attend, said Barbara Smoak, education outreach manager, Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, which is one of the events sponsors. Working with our co-sponsors, were pleased to help continue a tradition that provides one-stop shopping for a large and diverse selection of college and university recruiters. Last year more than 8,000 students, parents and guidance counselors visited the information booths, quizzed university representatives and participated in a special seminar on National Collegiate Athletic Guidelines.
To qualify for a College Night scholarship, students must be high school juniors or seniors and graduate with a GPA equal or above 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent). Students must attend and register in person at CSRA College Night to be eligible.
