Burglar robs package shop

Someone burglarized an Augusta package shop early Sunday by removing a heater duct and crawling through a hole in the building’s wall.

The burglar stole cash and two cases of beer from Smitty’s Package Shop at 1815 Martin Luther King Blvd., according to a Richmond County sheriff’s report.
