The Weinberger family issued the following statement this afternoon following the weekend death of Jay Weinberger.

"We want to take this opportunity to express our deep appreciation to all of our friends and loyal customers for their countless expressions of sympathy and support during this difficult time. Thank you for sharing your personal remembrances of good experiences with Jay and the other members of our family business. Please know that our recent tragedy was not related to business issues, and we hope and expect to be here for you for many more years as you have been here for us for the last 77 years.

Maybe he was sick like kleptomania or a brain tumor. His behavior seems out of character. I feel for the family especially the children. Perhaps he couldn't help himself.

I can't believe what I just read.....My brother just died BUT "Please know that our recent tragedy was not related to business issues, and we hope and expect to be here for you for many more years as you have been here for us for the last 77 years. " I would say the family needs some kind of therapy if you can have the loss of a brother and less than 24 hours the best you can come out with is
to "ask" for business. Does that make you Super Salesman?

Wow- business as usual. Statement should have ended before that last sentence.
