Police looking for robbers of an Augusta barber shop

Police are looking for two men who committed an armed robbery at about 11 a.m. today at La Nay Nay’s Barber Shop at 2919 Peach Orchard Road.

According to Richmond County Sgt. Blaise Dresser, the two men entered the barber shop and fired one shot from a shotgun inside the establishment. The men fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured.

Police saw the men as they fled the store and got into a burgundy Toyota Tercel. The two suspects were chased on to Harding Road and then Lively Street when the driver lost control of the vehicle and wrecked it. The two men fled the scene on foot, Sgt. Dresser said.

You know, I'm sure sorry

You know, I'm sure sorry about the robbery and I'm very glad nobody was hurt, but "La Nay Nay"???? Okay, how about "Nay's Barber Shop"? Well, anyway, maybe these thugs won't get too far....they very well could be hurt after wrecking their car. You know, I need a haircut pretty soon. Maybe I'll go on over to La Nay Nay's!

The crime in this area is getting out of control.
Law-Obeying Citizens need to arm themselves and help out the police force.
Crime will continue to rage until the crooks know that there is a consequence to their actions.
Every American should have a loaded gun at the ready in their homes.

Believe me guys, I am NOT

Believe me guys, I am NOT trying to argue with ya'll because I know exactly where you're coming from. However, in this case, these robbers had a shotgun, and the report didn't say if there were customers in the shop when it happened. I'm sure that facing another weapon and being responsible for the welfare of your innocent customers played in the role of how this business owner reacted...or didn't react, in this case. As long as they make purchasing guns harder for the "good guys" and the bad guys can get away with stealing them, this will always be an uphill battle!

Shame on the customers and

Shame on the customers and the business owner for not having a loaded gun nearby and putting some hollow tip bullets in these fool's backs when they were fleeing.

AndIt is beyond time to hear

AndIt is beyond time to hear directly from out elected leaders from our Mayor to our Sheriff and our DA regarding violent crime in the CSRA and what is being done to solve this issue. The Augusta Chronicle needs to make this a top priority and question these individuals intensly as reducing violent crime MUST be a top priority for our area. And, since deputies saw the men, why don't we have a description of them listed?
