Woman faces felony DUI charge

LANDRUM, S.C. — Authorities say a South Carolina woman who caused a fatal crash when driving the wrong way on an interstate has been charged with felony drunken driving.

Troopers say 33-year-old Traci Freeman of Boiling Springs was driving west on Interstate 26 near Landrum at about 5:20 a.m. today when she hit a car head-on with her minivan. Spartanburg County Coroner Rusty Clevenger said that car passenger Janice Carol Williams died at a hospital about an hour later.

It was not immediately clear if Freeman had an attorney. She was at the jail today waiting for a bond hearing.

Authorities say everyone involved the crash except Williams was wearing a seat belt.

What is with all these "going

What is with all these "going the wrong way on the interstate" drivers?? Someone might need to look at why this is suddenly happening and put a dead stop to it! Better labeling of entry ramps or...something?

Suddenly happening? Better

Suddenly happening? Better labeling? Are you kidding me? lol I hope that was sarcasm. How about put a dead stop to the [filtered word] drunk drivers who are so selfish they drive drunk all the time???? We don't need better signs so drunks can see them, we need more jail time for those [filtered word]'s who drive drunk!!!!!

M'k, let me clarify

M'k, let me clarify here...{Jeez, what was I smokin'...to not even notice they were drunk driving...lol} My view was from my experience with a trip {or rather, my last two trips} to Ga. and having missed the onramp to I-20, BOTH times....{and ending up on two different streets, mind you!} All because my GPS told me to turn NOW and having too many signs pointing to the I-20 onramp! {Can't they put a few more up? LOL} And I did. Forgive me for my post. Note to self: stay offline while busy doing a million and one things, all at the same time....
