Teen's job application shelved

  • Follow Latest News

A teenager was arrested and charged with shoplifting from Best Buy, but not before he asked an employee for a job application.

According to a Richmond County sheriff’s report, 17-year-old Marty Howard Hardy Jr., of the 2600 block of Sharon Road, was arrested Sunday after an employee saw him trying to steal four Sansa MP3 players valued at $320.

A Best Buy employee said that before the teenager was confronted about the stolen merchandise, he asked a store employee for a job application.

Instead of a job, he received a felony charge of theft by taking over $300.

I bet he is kicking himself

I bet he is kicking himself for taking that last one. If he took 3 it would have been below $300, and no felony charge... Greed
