A man shot over the weekend has died from his injuries, police say.

The Richmond County Sheriff's Office is investigating the shooting that took place during the weekend in Hephzibah.

Keith Newton, 26, of Waynesboro, Ga., was found shot in the head about 6 a.m. Sunday on the couch at his brother's home at 1017A Megan Lane. He had spent the night on the couch, according to Lt. Scott Peebles, of the sheriff's office. He was found Sunday morning by family members, he said.

Mr. Newton was taken to Medical College of Georgia Hospital, where he died today, Lt. Peebles said.

Police called the shooting suspicious.

"Nobody has been eliminated as a suspect," Lt. Peebles said. "We still have not determined the nature of the injury other than to say that the circumstances are unusual."

I use to think that you could

I use to think that you could move your family out to Waynesboro if you wanted to get some land and a little peace and quite. Seems like I'm better off sticking to the inner city.

The problem with all these

The problem with all these loud cars disturbing our neighborhoods with their loud music and boom boom boom, and people shooting off guns at will in the same subdivisions, people are more likely to not notice loud noises, even close at hand.
