A 24-year-old man was robbed at his home Friday morning, according to a Richmond County Sheriff’s Office report.

The victim said that shortly after he was dropped off at his home on Greene Street about 1:30 a.m. he heard a knock at his front door and opened it thinking it might be his roommate. Instead he encountered a man with a black handgun, who told him to give him his wallet and keys.

The robber is described as black, in his mid-30s to 40s, 6 feet tall and weighing 200 pounds.

Anyone with information can call the sheriff’s office at (706) 821-1080.

I live off of Greene Street

I live off of Greene Street also. The part of Greene St he lives at would be helpful. This is why I dont answer my door unless the people who visit me call me first. Its a shame I was not the victim as this scum of the earth would be taking a dirt nap.

Peep holes are very helpful.

Peep holes are very helpful. And if you aren't absolutely certain who it is, DON'T OPEN YOUR DOOR.

I wonder if a certain segment

I wonder if a certain segment of the population will ever take responsibility for themselves and start respecting the rights and property of other Americans and stop committing crimes and increasing their already skewed incarceration statistics?
