Brown makes cut on number

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — North Augusta’s Scott Brown birdied the 18th hole today in the second round of this week’s Nationwide Tour event to make the cut on the number.

Brown, who opened with 5-under-par 67 in Thursday’s first round, had 72 today at the Price Cutter Charity Championship, and is at 5-under 139. Brown, the leading money winner on the eGolf Tour with more than $100,000, also had a birdie on No. 15 coming in.

Augusta’s Scott Parel (70-71–141) failed to qualify.

Chad Collins leads at 16-under 128 after a pair of 64s. Scott Gardiner (66-64) and Brendan Steele (65-65) are tied for second place at 130.
