Twin 18-year-old brothers at Butler High School have been charged with robbery by force after police said they beat up and robbed another student.

According to a Richmond County sheriff’s news release, at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday Richmond County officers responded to the high school at 2011 Lumpkin Road in reference to a robbery.

A junior at the school had reported to public safety officers that he was robbed while walking up a stairwell during fourth period class. The student told officers that twin brothers Markale Robbinson and Marcus Robbinson approached him and asked him if he wanted to buy marijuana.

When the student told the two brothers that he did not have any money, they grabbed him by his neck, punched him in the face and took money from the pockets of his pants. Officers observed that the victim had received a red mark on the left side of his neck.

The brothers were arrested and charged with felony robbery by force.

Two other students were also present when the crime occurred but did not participate. The students were searched and public safety officers found a small bag of marijuana on 17-year-old Angelo Pringle, who received a misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana.

The news release states that the crime appears to be an isolated incident and is not gang related.

Hey corgimom and

Hey corgimom and christie, that was a real good post. What these boys did was very bad and people like you are definitely not part of the solution. I'm sure their parents aren't proud, but how proud are your parents of you. I want both of you to show your parents what you posted(here)about this and see what they tell you.I'm sure your folks will say I'm so proud of what you posted,it has so much meaning and good advice for others.
Both of you girls need to grow up and show a little love and understanding for your fellow human being. There is a subject of study in college called Humanities,if you get that far it might teach you something.
You all are in my prayers.

No let's not put them on the football team. Sports shouldn't be for punks and thugs - sports should be reserved for students who have earned the privledge to represent their school. Butler's football team has had it's challenges but I would rather a group of hardworking honest kids lose then a bunch of academic and life skill failures win. It might be good if the community support the team too. It's rediculous to see how little support some of the RC teams get from their community, let alone parents.

Any student in public school

Any student in public school for any reason other than obtaining an education through proper learning and following of the rules needs to be removed. Alternative schools are fine and mabye boot camps are needed for some because we do need to try and reach our youth and educate them or they will be doomed to jail or death and will be even more of a blight on society. However, most of the youth who go to school want a safe and secure environment in which to learn and these punk thugs who are allowed by liberal educators to do as they please need to be removed from the educational environment -- we need Joe Clark's as principlas and teachers and the rest need to get with the program or move on...

Pleeeeaaase. If Joe Clark

Pleeeeaaase. If Joe Clark took over a RC school, parents would go nuts. I believe half of the whole touchy feely let's give kids a hug mentality comes from parents who after the fact are trying to divert attention from holding their children accountable. I remember the days when kids participating in the in-school suspension program had to pick up garbage. Now, that's not allowed because it would humiliate the poor little punks. Or when kids had to trade papers with their neighbor and grade them in class.... Now, that's not allowed because some kid might be embarrassed. While I am all for the Joe Clark mentality, heaven forbid Joe Clark come to Augusta and heaven help him more if he has blonde hair and blue eyes because at least some people in this town will dismiss his attempts at true educational reform as trying to pick on kids of a specific demographic.

No one asked whether or not

No one asked whether or not the parents of the 14 year old that murdered his strep sister was proud of him. I wonder why? I doubt that the parents sent them to school and told them to make us proud and rob a school mate today.

A misdemeanor for having

A misdemeanor for having drugs in a "drug free zone". No wonder these animals are free to roam society preying on victims at will. These are not kids anymore. They are of legal age, but I will bet the bleeding hearts have already started talking about what caused them to go astray and that they are well worth saving and etc etc etc.

I will say the whole not gang

I will say the whole not gang related comment is weak. Figure more then one kid essentially beats up a single kid for refusing to buy marijuana and then they steal his money..... sounds like gang mentality to me.
