Two Augusta men standing trial on murder charges were convicted today.

A Richmond County Superior Court jury deliberated about two hours before reaching the verdicts for Dennis Mingledolph and Willie Cole.

An innocent bystander, 65-year-old Johnny Davis, was caught in the crossfire when the two defendants got into a shootout on June 30, 2008, on Lucky Street.

The death penalty is no

The death penalty is no deterrant to crime when the perp can appeal for 20 or more years. Justice delayed is justice denied.
