Juveniles arrested in early morning carjacking

  • Follow Latest News

Two juveniles stole a man’s car using a BB gun early today after he had given them a ride to Glenn Hills Middle School because of the rain.

The victim told deputies that he was sitting in his car in the parking lot of Wal Mart at 3209 Deans Bridge Road when the two suspects knocked on his window and asked for a ride to the school so they could meet their parents, according to a Richmond County Sheriff’s press release.

The victim said he agreed because it was raining very hard and the suspects, who are listed as being 13 and 16 years old, appeared so young. When they arrived at the school, the suspects asked him to pull around back and the victim refused.

The suspects then pointed two weapons, which later were determined to be BB guns, at the victim and forced him from the car, the release said.

Deputies responded and using the vehicle’s ONSTAR system it was located in the Hyde Park area. Both the suspects were arrested and charged with hijacking of a motor vehicle.

The 13-year-old suspect also faces charges of battery for shooting a 9-year-old child in the head with a BB gun earlier in the day, the release said.

What a frigging

What a frigging shame....that's what happens when you try to be nice to people, if they are already starting out commiting crimes this young then go ahead, throw them in juvenile detention no with some stiff punishment and counseling and pray that they will straighten out before they get older and kill someone the next time.

I believe, based, upon the

I believe, based, upon the crime, teen agers should be treated as adults in the court system. I also believe our prison system should be one to deter inmates returning. Place them on hard labor, and remove all the luxurious equipment from the jails. No TV, game rooms or weight lifting. Just hard labor, and re-establish the chaingang using the ball and chain under the watchful eye of prison guards.

Heck, a lot of the parents

Heck, a lot of the parents ARE teaching them this kind of behavior. Concealed carry, concealed carry, concealed carry. Insects like this don't need jail time, they need to be exterminated before they really hurt or kill somebody. Forget about being nice and helpful, folks, especially in South Augusta; it's an invitation to danger from the huge number of lazy sociopaths in the CSRA. It's time to stop voting for enablers who endlessly fund people to have children they can't afford and don't care to raise as human beings, much less as citizens. We can't live in peace and safety anymore because there are so many wild animals roving around looking for easy targets, which civilized, kind and concerned people generally are. It's time to fight back.

Two words.. HARD LABOR..

Two words.. HARD LABOR.. instead of 3 hot meals, A/C and a comfy bed.. Like those inmates in California.. Let them sit in their burned out cells with no plumbing.. They did it, so why should the tax payers have to fix it..

I'll bet mama would already

I'll bet mama would already be on TV crying and trying to find a personal injury lawyer if this guy had whipped out his .38 and put this little thieving punk down like a dog. We need to change the laws pertaining to "juveniles". There is no such thing anymore. Twelve year olds will kill you for your car or a few dollars. We need to authorize prosecution as adults for any felony, and life sentences, and the death penalty for any age convicted of capital crimes.
