Several areas of Columbia County experienced flooding after 3.6 inches rain fell from 7 a.m. Wednesday morning to today.

Columbia County Emergency Management Director Pam Tucker said residents near the 300 block of Kings Bridge Road reported flooding in their homes. A creek flooded Wendell Way and a woman was trapped in a flooding vehicle in the Arrowwood Trailer Park at 4477 Wrightsboro Road.

Most of the precipitation fell this morning when a storm system stalled and dumped heavy rain on the area for several hours, Ms. Tucker said.

Emergency crews responded to assist with the reports of flooding, as well as a fallen tree near Morehead Drive and Columbia Road. There have been no injuries in any of the incidents.

Must have been some rain.

Must have been some rain. Use to live on the 300 blk. of Kings Bridge for 11 years and never experienced anything like that. The worse thing I remember was the ice storm that knocked my power out for three days. Hope the family who purchased my house didn't receive too much damage.
