A car wreck and fire on Richmond Hill Road today left one person dead and another seriously injured.

Richmond County Chief Deputy Coroner Mark Bowen said the blue Chevrolet Impala in the accident was involved in a carjacking at about 1:30 a.m. today on Merry Street. Mr. Bowen said the driver lost control of the vehicle, hit a tree, and the car burst into flames. The accident happened at about 4 p.m. in the 3000 block of Richmond Hill.

A passenger in the vehicle, Terrill Mason, 25, of the 2000 block of Dallas Drive, was killed, Mr. Bowen said. The driver was taken to the Medical College of Georgia Hospital, Mr. Bowen said. His identity has not been released.

Ahhh, justice!

Were these the carjackers? If so, too bad both are not dead. The one that lived, hope he gets about 40 years. If these were the carjackers the AC should not use the term "victims". They should have called them the "perps". They were not a "victim" of anything except stupitiy and being thieving thugs. The "victim" is the person who got their car stolen.

Good points, Max.

If you think those burns hurt now...wait til they get a taste of hell. I hope the one that survives gets them in a place where he is asked about them constantly....SCUM

I like to read these stories of karma, hopefully there will be more in the future!

Obviously what the carjacker did was very horrendous. I don't think it is kind to be happy about him being dead.

The Lord always takes care of those who sin. Too bad both didn't bite the dirt. What you sow, so shall you reap!

It may not be kind and I suppose I agree we shouldn't be happy or rejoice in anyones death. However, reality is that these violent criminals and others like them don't deserve the right to walk on the same planet as law abiding citizens. Permanent removal from our society at little to no expense to the taxpayers is the absolute best thing that could happen to any of them. These thugs terrorize our communities, hurt people, leave people mentally traumatized and then when caught are put in jail and use up all of the tax money from hard working citizens that needs to be spent in many other areas instead. Violent criminals need to be removed from our society and however that happens, so be it.

ASITIS, I agree 1000% with your 4:23 AM post. Enough is enough. I doubt that this will stop all of the carjackings and other crimes, but if these two were involved 1 for sure and maybe 2, will not be doing it again. No rejoicing but also no tears shed.

1st of all many of you are assuming that the men in the car were the carjackers. I knew the passenger very well, and he was a good guy. He had his own car, so i seriously doubt that he would steal someone else's car. Have you taken the time to think that he may have not known about the car, if it is stolen. If you would check your sources and not just jump to CONCLUSIONS, you all would know from watching the news that the car has not been CONFIRMED whether it was stolen. Here you all are acting as if it's your decision as of what happens to him in his after life. I am disgusted with some of these statements you are making. It would be kind of you to keep your comments to yourself because in reality he still has friends and love ones at home who will be mourning their lost.

No, nobody is going to bash my name when I die, because I don't take part in crimes. And I don't ride in stolen cars. How sad that you think that is normal behavior.
