A 60-year-old man was beaten at a Mike Padgett Highway gas station by two men who claimed he had cut them off while driving.
The victim said the incident occurred about 10 p.m. Monday in the Sprint Food Store parking lot, 3444 Mike Padgett Highway, a Richmond County sheriff’s report said.
One of the men punched the man in the mouth, then both kicked him on the ground, the report said.
The victim was taken to Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center at Fort Gordon to receive stitches for a cut lip.

I'll bet it made these two feel big and brave to punch on a 60 year old. I guess it was too much research for the AC to mention whether the perps were arrested, did they run like cowards before the cops showed up, what was their description and that of their car. Where is your basic journalism AC? I am tired of these "A Tree Fell In The Woods" headlines with absolutely no details about the tree, why it fell, did it make noise, did it injure other trees, was it cut up for firewood.

This is what happens when "rights" end up becoming the highest value, the greatest good. All consideration for other people disappears when a significant portion of the populace are not taught and have no regard for the intrinsic value of OTHER human beings. They live as human animals instead of as people, and attacking someone for a slight or perceived disrespect is therefore not simply a matter of justice (which it really isn't), but a compelling necessity in order to protect the 'self-respect' of such a pitiful person. And like most non-domesticated animals, their lives are usually nasty, brutish and short.
There are too many people driving impaired. I'm talking about the people that attacked the guy, not the driver they accused of cutting them off... This is not a normal reaction....
If it WAS a normal reaction, maybe some of these folks wouldn't cut people off!

An older gentleman cut me off this morning... so I hit the brake, backed off a bit, swore to myself and then went on my way. Guess I missed the memo where I was supposed to follow and then thrash the poor fellow.
They should have just flipped him off like any normal person would do.
Yeah I want'em jailed so they can soak up taxpayer funded air conditioning, cable, health care and food (more sarcasm). Nothing like the sound of a well-fed belt-fed.
The biggest shame of this, other than the beating of an elderly man, is that when they are arrested your rag will call them Mr. X and Mr. Y instead of jerks (I would use a stronger term, but you would not let it go through).
Were there no witnesses to this? If so, did they not try to at least stop these punks? I guess most of society just wants to sit and ignore things like this because they don't want to become involved for fear of getting hurt. I do wish someone with a handgun would've been there to at least scare these punks away.
The really tragic part of this, given that the victim apparently is not permanently damaged, is that these neanderthals probably feel like 'big men' for having not let that old guy get away with cutting them off. They rank right up there with drive-by shooters when it comes to genuine courage.

I'm with you just my opinion, I use that sprint all the time and as long as my kids were not with me I'd of stepped in somehow to help. It's past time for Americans to become united, to stand up to these criminals. America the Great is gone, and NO she can't be saved.

We need to get rid of every "Liberal Judge" out there and really do something to these violent criminals as this is out of control. No matter what race, sex, etc. this is completely unacceptable behavior for our society and individuals such as this do not deserve to be a part of our society. Maximum punishments shold ALWAYS be issued to violent criminals and the DEATH PENALTY shold be mandatory for anyone who takes the life of another. Enough is enough.
