ATLANTA - Even Georgia's governor is feeling the pain of furloughs.
Gov. Sonny Perdue's office said Monday that the governor already has taken his three furlough days - and he worked all three. Spokesman Bert Brantley said Perdue's staff is rotating furlough days to make sure there are enough employees to deal with state business.
Perdue said last month that state government employees would have to take three furloughs by the end of the calendar year to close a $900 million gap.
