An Augusta man who police say hit five people with his truck at a party was arrested and charged with aggravated assault today.

According to a Richmond County sheriff’s report and jail committal, 23-year-old Ryan Heath Mock, of the 1500 block of Stovall Street, was at a party at 11:20 p.m. Friday in the 4600 block of Windsor Spring Road in Hephzibah when he got into an altercation with someone at the party and was asked to leave.

Witnesses told police that Mr. Mock got into his Ford F-150 truck and backed up, striking a 38-year-old woman and knocking her to the ground. The woman told police that while she was on the ground, Mr. Mock put his truck in drive and drove over her legs.

Mr. Mock then drove into a crowd, where he struck four others, witnesses said.

Three of the victims were taken to the emergency room at the Medical College of Georgia Hospital for treatment. Two other victims told officers they were not hurt and refused treatment.

On top of any jail time, his drivers license should be suspended for ten years after his prison term ends.
