U.S. Rep. Paul Broun will hold a town hall meeting Monday in Columbia County to hear from citizens concerned about the new federal health care bill.

The session will be held at 6 p.m. at the auditorium of the Columbia County Board of Education office, 4781 Hereford Farm Road, in Evans, said Jessica Morris, Dr. Broun’s press secretary.

“Dr. Broun has received countless calls, e-mails and letters from constituents, many in Columbia County, who are very concerned about the proposals coming out of Washington for a government takeover of health care,” Miss Morris said.

For more information on the session, call the 10th District Congressional Office in Evans at (706) 447-3857.

I sure hope so...

I sure hope so... JohnQPublic. It's time for sane people to grab their political pitch folks and save this great country. Obviously it's under attack by socialists, i.e., unions, etc. Power to the people!

Save the country from what

Save the country from what "The Black Man". You people are sick. Sonny is destroying Georigia and you people say nothing. Get over your guy didn't win. I'm quite sure if McCain would've won I wouldn't have seen any gains in my 401k. You people throw words round like socialism. Paul Broun is a joke the other month he's commenting on what should be done about the Lock n Dam and that's not even in his district.

I would love to attend, we

I would love to attend, we need all the conservative voices we can get. The White House Health czar who call civil disagreement "fishy" is likely smelling the odor emanating from Washington and the current administration.

Darn those unions cockytiger.

Darn those unions cockytiger. Some unions are bad, but those are the ones that are really on the side of management or the ones that are on their own side, not the side of management or workers. Unions would not be needed if not for companies like Walmart. You want to save the country help stop the corporations from trading good paying manufacturing jobs for low paying 28 hour a week service jobs there, etc. The administration is just trying to help you people, but some of you are like babies who cry as the parents try to burp you. You do not see that someone is trying to help you. Most of you were blind as Bush ran up huge deficits for a war that was justified by lies. Most of you had no problem with that.

double standard....Save the

double standard....Save the country from ""the black man? No....save the country from this particular Black Radical Communist Muslim Man and his Crazy White Woman House Speaker. It's not "the black man" that we want to save the country from. It's The Black Radical Man, The Communist Man, The Muslim Man. The ONE who wants control of our healthcare, our money, our cars, our banks, our coca-colas, our junk food, our electicity, our gas, our household thermostats, our freedom of dissent, and basically everything in our lives that make it enjoyable. And that is just in his first six months. Wonder what he wants control of in the next 3.5 years? Once they have control over your healthcare, they have control over your life and your longevity. I say STOP THEM NOW by whatever means necessary. Once Communism takes root it takes bloodshed to kill it off. Pull this noxious weed before the roots spread. Stop them dead in their tracks. Find your House and Senate representatives during this summer break, get them by the throat, and hit them hard. Let them know what you think about Government Healthcare, Cap and Tax, and Communism. It's your country. Take it back or suffer forever.

IMD, Wal-mart has overflowing

IMD, Wal-mart has overflowing parking lots and hires people daily. Why is it the curse of the neoMaos? People love to shop there because quality things are cheap. One reason things are so cheap is because employee wages don't resemble those of UAW automakers. Think about it.

Hey, aren't we supposed to

Hey, aren't we supposed to let our representative know how we want them to vote and if they don't we can say "Your Fired" the next time we go to vote? Also, does anyone know where Broun stands on the healthcare issue anyway: for or against?

No, one will be there

No, one will be there screaming at his townhall because he is a birther/tea partier also. My point is know one from the right has showed up to a townhall and asked sensible questions and listened to the answers.

Posted by concernednative on Sun Aug 9, 2009 4:23 PM....Well native, burping your blather again I see. Seems the most pertinent question I have heard one of the town hall folks ask was if Congress and the President were going to put themselves on the same government health care plan they want to pawn off on us. BimbObmama has already said no as he has his Presidential WH doctor. Ain't that nice? BTW, wonder if the union thugs/BimbObama brown shirts are going to be beating up on folks at Broun's like they did in St Louis?
