Authorities executed a search warrant this afternoon at the Appling home of a man arrested on accusations he had stalked Miley Cyrus.

Tybee Island police, assisted by the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, searched Mark McLeod’s residence at the 5200 block of Linder-McCurdy Road at about 3:30 p.m., said sheriff’s Capt. Steve Morris.

“A computer system was seized among other items,” he said.

A search warrant was signed by a Columbia County magistrate judge today, Capt. Morris said. The warrant receipt was filed late this afternoon, and a complete list of seized items would not be available until Friday, he said.

A phone message left this afternoon with Tybee Island Police Chief Jim Price was not immediately returned.

Mr. McLeod was arrested Tuesday at his residence on a charge of criminal attempted stalking of the “Hannah Montana” star. He was transported from the Columbia County Detention Center to the Chatham County jail on Wednesday, where he remains today with bond set at $50,000.

Mr. McLeod was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct in June while attending a shoot for Ms. Cyrus’ new movie “The Last Song,” which is currently being filmed on Tybee Island. He was released from the Chatham County jail the day after his arrest because of overcrowding, authorities said.

In March, Mr. McLeod showed up outside a book signing event in Manhattan featuring the 16-year-old singer and actress. He professed his love to Ms. Cyrus, whom he said he would marry, in a video clip posted by the “New York Daily News.”

He also has said Ms. Cyrus communicated with him through secret messages in photos and her TV show.
