An Augusta man told police he was beaten and robbed while trying to enter his apartment early Sunday.
The 40-year-old victim said two men approached him and hit him in the back of the head with a stick, a Richmond County Sheriff’s Office report said.
The victims then began kicking him in the chest and face while demanding money, the report states.
They took $85 from the victim’s pocket and fled the scene on foot.

@RAWR: Good call on the situational awareness. If everyone stayed aware of their surroundings, you would probably avoid ever needing to pull the "means to defend yourself". However, everyone who has the right to carry SHOULD carry.

But this is a paper correct? Adam better request a revision real quick. A location and general description would have been helpful but I guess that wasn't known when this was hastily placed on the web. I mean, are we going to know what to look for with this post? Nein. The more I think about it, this gives no helpful information whatsoever.
Too bad this story isn't about an attempted robbery where two punk thieves were dropped in their tracks and expired before reaching the hospital. When will people figure out that they must defend themselves. Nobody, no agency, is going to protect them. Always carry a gun and always be aware of anyone who approaches. And hey AC: 1)the "victims" then began kicking him?????? 2) A general location would have been helpful for public awareness!!!! 3. Maybe a hint of a description or should we just (insert standard description).

Don't start me to profiling. Do rags, tall, pants hanging off...and something else. Didn't get their weight or nothin, They had on air shoes. Looked to be about size 16.
