The 35th Signal Brigade is preparing to case the colors of two units readying to deploy to Iraq.

Ceremonies will take place at 8 a.m. Wednesday, August 12 on Barton Field, according to a release.

The units deploying are the Headquarters of the 35th Signal Brigade and all of the 67th Signal Battalion, which is more than 400 soldiers.

They will control and maintain a communications network for military units in Iraq.

The 67th Signal Battalion deployed to Iraq from January 2004 to February 2005. In September 2005, elements of the 67th deployed to Camp Shelby, Miss. and New Orleans to set up and maintain communications after Hurricane Katrina, the release states.

The 67th went to Iraq in October 2006 and returned in January 2008.
