$4 million awarded to repave section of Deans Bridge Road

More than $4 million in federal stimulus funds were awarded this month to a project that will resurface 10 miles of Deans Bridge Road between Sandy Run Creek and Tobacco Road.

The project was awarded to Reeves Construction Co. of Macon, Ga., according to a Georgia Department of Transportation news release.

The money is part of $75.5 million in contracts the DOT awarded this month with money from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, the release said. Sixteen other projects were awarded across the state, and construction is to begin on all in September.

This is phase two of the act’s implementation, which is designed to put about $500 million into the state’s economy though the rest of the year. Phase one included 94 highway system projects in Georgia for $216 million, the release said.

Is this the same Reeves

Is this the same Reeves Construction that did such a poor job on the Bobby Jones and Hwy 56 intersection?
If so, they owe the taxpayer $4 million. I guess there is no one better out there. What a shame, these people have proven to be incompetent and are still awarded contracts.
