Naming streets in the worst

Naming streets in the worst neighborhoods after MLK jr is an insult to the only civil rights leader that made sense and spoke the truth.

Most of the people who live

Most of the people who live in the MLK, Jr. area are retired, elderly, good folk. The problem is the same as in the Harrisburg, "imports." Remember that "it is NOT where you live but HOW you live!"

I agree with HillGuy. It

I agree with HillGuy. It looks like a atom bomb has been dropped in some parts of this city. Deke, Ronnie and other leaders clean this city up. I mean that in all ways, the raggy rundown houses, prostitution, gangs and drug deals wide open in the daytime, Even as the cops drive by. This city is so corrupt. It is a embarrassment to us and our out of town visitors,

Sounds like hillguy and goldie53 wants to nuke all the black neighborshoods, hmmmmm it's not like the white neighborhoods are exempt from anything. How about they do 50/50, half in the black neighborhood and nuke the other half in the white neighborhood, start in the hill area and walton way preferably.

What we need to realize is

What we need to realize is that it is a FACT, a blatent in your face FACT that the "black" neighborhoods in downtown Augutsa need to have some type of revitalization. We may joke about nuking them but unless you remove the source of the problem, it will never get better. I live in the NYC area. I visit "black and hispanic" areas, neighborhoods, stores all the time. I feel safe and I don't fear that I will get beaten or robbed when I see a group of young black men walking towards me. Augusta needs jobs and sources of income for ALL folks no matter what color you origin they are. How do you expect a person to clean up there yard when they are not taught how to do it. Young couples creating families and then break apart leaving a single parent to manage the household with no income. Maybe instead of furloughing the teachers, they should be used to teach our children how to live. Education is the key. Support your teachers.
