Langley Fire Department officials responded today to a minor fire that was quickly extinguished at a cremation and burial society.
The incident was reported at about 4:45 p.m. at South Carolina Cremation & Burial Society on Jefferson Davis Highway in Graniteville, according to an Aiken County Sheriff’s Office dispatcher.
A Langley Fire official said a cardboard box caught fire after accidentally getting caught in machinery used at the facility. There was no structural damage.
