Augusta has 18 hits in 11-4 rout

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. - Vladimir Frias had four hits to back Mike Loree, who recorded his team-high seventh win in the GreenJackets’ 11-4 rout of the Kannapolis Intimidators tonight.

Five batters had two or more hits for Augusta, which tallied 18 on the night. Ehire Adrianza and Johnny Monell had three hits apiece.

The GreenJackets chased Kannapolis starter James Albury after just three innings. He gave up four runs on seven hits.

Loree (7-6) pitched six innings, giving up two earned runs on six hits and striking out four.

With the win, Augusta remains a half-game back in the Southern Division second-half race.
