Atlanta MARTA station evacuated after package found

ATLANTA — MARTA officials say train service is resuming today at Atlanta's Buckhead station after an hourlong evacuation because of a suspicious package.

MARTA spokeswoman Andrea Coleman says the package found about 11 a.m. was determined to be safe. She said trains were not allowed into the station for an hour and buses were provided to get commuters to their destinations.

She said the evacuation was a precaution. Coleman said she could did not know what the package was.
