Pizza delivery man robbed

NORTH AUGUSTA -- A 53-year-old Pizza Hut driver was robbed Sunday night while making a delivery at 119 Bradleyville Road in North Augusta.

The victim said no one appeared at the door to take the pizza so he began to leave when an armed man came from behind and demanded cash, according to a North Augusta Department of Public Safety report.

The robber pointed a gun at the victim and took the pizza and several dollars in cash.

Another example of gun

Another example of gun control not working. btw in my hometown in 1994 a young police officer volunteered to act as a pizza delivery driver in a sting operation. He was shot and killed when he dilivered the pizza (box.)

dog bites man. Not really

dog bites man. Not really news. Now, if a pizza delivery on Bradleyville didn't end in a robbery, THAT would be news.

I realize that this sort of

I realize that this sort of thing can happen anywhere, but why don't they just declare certain neighborhoods as no-delivery zones? I mean, to hell with what the public there may say, the safety of the drivers should come first! I'm sure the majority of people in the other areas would agree to it...well, that is until THEIR neighborhood gets puts on the no-delivery list! But, hey...it could be worse! They could be delivering those $10 2-breast chicken dinners from Wife Saver!! LOL!!

I thought the delivery people

I thought the delivery people were pretty much all carrying guns now days. There have been two recent cases of the delivery putting the would be robbers down for a dirt nap. One in Irmo and one in Charlotte. These have to be the laziest robbers out there. Robber "I think I'll rob someone tonight" Hmm "I'll call Dominoes and rob someone in 30 minutes or less, or the next one is free!

They shouldn't have to

They shouldn't have to deliver to any area deemed unsafe however, we all know that would end up being called racism.

The best way to stop this

The best way to stop this type of crime, is to make all deliveries pre-paid by credit card. If you aint got a credit card, then you have to go pick it up yourself. Yes, it make cost the company some business initially, but after people learn the new policy, they will change and crooks will have to look to others, because drivers wont carry cash.
