The four-game sweep saw a little of everything. Johnny Monells walk-off hit gave the GreenJackets a one-run win in Mondays series opener. Augusta pounded out 11 hits in a nine-run blowout Tuesday and won with pitching Wednesday with 15 strikeouts.
Thursdays win capped the sweep by stealing the game from a Power team that knocked GreenJackets starter Ari Ronick out of the game with no outs in the third to take a 6-0 lead. Ronick allowed six runs, three earned, on six hits and three walks, but the Power offense faded when Augusta went to its bullpen.
Reliever Justin Fitzgerald allowed only one hit over four innings of work to set the stage for the comeback.
Fitzgerald was superb, GreenJackets manager Dave Machemer said. This guy came in and slammed the door. It was the key to the whole game.
Fitzgeralds effort gave the GreenJackets time to climb back into the game. Ehire Adrianza and Andy DAlessio drove in runs in the third. Vladimir Frias and Josh Mazzola did the same in the fourth.
After Jose Flores walked to lead off the fifth, Mike Loberg homered and the rally shifted into high gear.
