Fort to get new garrison command sergeant major

A ceremony formally marking the changeover of the Fort Gordon garrison command sergeant major position will be held at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Signal Towers flagpole.

Command Sgt. Maj. Arthur Washington, who has held the post since June 2005, will turn the duties over to Command Sgt. Maj. Kevin Schehl, according to a statement released by the fort.
