The Georgia Department of Education released school by school results of the CRCT this afternoon.

Students in first through eighth grades take the Criterion-Referenced Competency Tests, but the test takes on particular importance in grades, 3, 5 and 8. Third-graders must pass reading and fifth- and eighth-graders must pass reading and math to automatically move to the next grade.

The CRCT results are also important to schools. The results are a major factor in determining if a school makes adequate yearly progress as defined by No Child Left Behind.

Wow. Lakeside Middle is no

Wow. Lakeside Middle is no longer the best scoring school for 8th graders in the county. I only looked at the 8th grade scores, can't say anything about the other grades.

These test are over rated and
Unpublished

These test are over rated and should be abandoned for a end-of-semester exam or something controlled by the educators, not mandated by the federal government. These test don't actually test intelligence but only the recall ability of a student. That is not learning!
