LeBrun Special

In a called meeting this evening, McDuffie County Board of Education members voted unanimously to hire Mr. LeBrun.

Mr. LeBrun was most recently the superintendent of schools in Jones County, where he served four years. He has been in education for 23 years, as a teacher, coach, assistant principal, principal and superintendent.

McDuffie board Chairwoman Georgia Hobbs said it has not been decided when Mr. LeBrun will assume his duties.

He was one of two finalists named for the position two weeks earlier by the board. McDuffie County Assistant Superintendent Jim Franklin was the other finalist.
