Police continue to look for suspects after an Augusta man told them he was the victim of a weekend stabbing and an attempted armed robbery in south Augusta.

According to a Richmond County sheriff’s report, the 26-year-old man said he was walking on Peach Orchard Road about 7:15 p.m. Saturday when a man came from behind an apartment building and demanded money. The assailant stabbed the victim on his right upper arm and cut his right hand when he tried to get the knife away.

The victim was taken to the Medical College of Georgia, where he was treated and released.

The attacker was described as a black man of medium build, 20 to 30 years old and wearing a dark ski mask.

Too bad all people aren't

Too bad all people aren't armed, so soon we could be rid of all those who wish to steal other peoples property. There is no justification for stealing, but if the penalty was death, quick and absolute, then it would be a deterence. And our society would be a safer place.

Geez, it's only the 6th. Has he spent his welfare check already? If that had been me the headline would read "Knife Wielding Low Life Thief Brings Knife To A Gun Fight. Body Found In Front Of Apartment Building On Peach Orchard Rd." Wonder what the cop's "response time" was AFTER the victim was robbed, stabbed, and cut. Get yourself a gun, learn to use it, get a permit, and keep the gun where you can pull it in a split second. The cops cannot protect you. They only take a report....if you are still alive to give one.

mad max.... I didn't agree with the welfare part, but I agree with you otherwise. I feel honest people should get their weapons permits... I got mine and the paper would have read just like you said had it been me!!

Crocodile Dundee had the right idea. When the check runs out and the bro pulls a knife to finance his next rock, pull a bigger knife and slice up his MJ memorial jacket. Best scene in the whole racist movie.

A little tug on the old ski

A little tug on the old ski mask, and you have a blind thug to beat the snot out of. He'd have a hard time cutting what he can't see.
