Coal train derails near Atlanta, damages tracks

UNION CITY, Ga. - Seventeen cars of a coal train have derailed and tipped over in south Fulton County.

The cars tipped over and damaged a section of CSX train tracks near Union City, about 20 miles south of Atlanta.

The train was not carrying hazardous materials, and no injuries were immediately reported.

Several railroad crossings in the area were closed because of the accident.
