Augusta Idol audition set for July 10

Start warming up those vocal cords.

WFXG, the Fox affiliate in Augusta, is playing host to the 4th annual Augusta Idol competition on July 10. It will he held at the Maxwell Performing Arts Theatre on Walton Way. Only the the first 100 contestants will be allowed to audition. Hopefuls can start lining up at the venue at 2 p.m., and the competition will begin at 7.

So what's in it for the winner? He or she will receive hotel and air accomodations to the Season 9 auditions in Denver on July 14. Auditions already went through Atlanta, so Denver may be your best shot now.
