According to a Richmond County sheriffs report, the two men entered As Convenience Store at 1857 Gordon Highway about 10:15 p.m. Saturday. A store employee pulled an alarm when she saw the men entering the store, and one of them fired a shot in the direction of the counter. The men fled on foot into a wooded area next to the store without taking anything.
Both are described as black, between the ages of 25 and 30, about 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing about 150 pounds. They were wearing dark clothing, and one was wearing a black mask. The other had a silver-colored handgun.
