Richmond County sheriff’s deputies said they charged two teens with armed robbery Wednesday after the holdup earlier this week of a former classmate near the 2400 block of Amsterdam Drive.

The 14-year-old victim said he was walking home from work when Vernon Lee Labord, 18, of Tad Court, and Marquell Eunice, 17, of Richmond Hill Road, stopped to talk to him, a sheriff’s report said.

The suspects pulled out handguns and took $43 from the victim, the report said.
