Corey Smith will appear at a special outdoor back-to-school concert at 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at the Jessye Norman Amphitheatre.

Mr. Smith, who released his fifth album last year, has become an enormously popular regional act and regularly sells out his appearances in Augusta. His last local appearance was in July 2008 at the Imperial Theatre.

Augusta artist John Krueger will appear in support and a yet-to-be-determined regional act will fill the middle slot on the bill.

Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the gate, available now at
