A sheriffs deputy from Missouri accused of sexual battery earlier this week for touching a woman in the bathroom of a downtown bar was arrested for a second time Wednesday after another woman told police he also tried to assault her in the same bar.
Lucian James Nevatt, 24, of Nixa, Mo., now faces two counts of sexual battery, according to a Richmond County sheriff's report.
Mr. Nevatt, a deputy with the Stone County Sheriffs Office, was arrested at his hotel early Tuesday morning after he followed a woman into the bathroom of The Loft, 927 Broadt St., and forced himself on her in a sexual manner, a sheriffs report said.
On Wednesday, a second woman told deputies that Mr. Nevatt had pushed his way into the bathroom as she was exiting, forced her up against the wall, then began kissing her and touching her breasts on the same night the previous woman was assaulted, the report said.
Mr. Nevatt was arrested for a second time and committed to the Richmond County Jail on Wednesday night, the report said.
