Frrank Carl was recently

Frrank Carl was recently quoted saying the levee was there in case of dam breakage. Mr. Carl, The levee is 30 feet high. If the dam broke the city would be under 50 feet of water. Besides that, there is no city-owned crane to close the breaches. Obviously, everyone would be running for their lives, not trying to rent a crane. It is the false statements of so called "experts" on the river that are keeping this city in an economic cesspool. Take down that useless levee and let private developers do the waterfront. Augusta could have a major renaissance if people like Frank Carl would refrain from uttering nonsense. The levee/canal system does nothing but CAUSE FLOODS by backing up secondary streams.

The "major renaissance" is

The "major renaissance" is only a dream with the dollar being the most overinflated currency in a deflating world economy. The average US stock portfolio converted to gold in 1999 would be worth 8-10 times more than the stocks are now. Wake up, we are in the middle of the worst bear market in US history. A 40 story building near Rockefeller Center in NY recently sold for $100K because investors with good credit are scared to borrow and nobody else can. Even though they are getting cheaper everyday, don't buy a crane either because the money will be needed for food.
