Columbia County authorities are looking for two men suspected of stealing beer from a Martinez grocery store.

Security cameras show both men wearing blue shirts. One has a white cap, the other a yellow cap. His T-shirt has a Nike "swoosh" emblem, Capt. Steve Morris said.

The men attempted to steal about $315 worth of items, including steaks and beer, from the Kroger at 4115 Columbia Road on May 29, according to a Columbia County Sheriff’s Office incident report.

Kroger employees confronted the men in the parking lot, where they left the steaks, but took two 30-packs of beer and fled in a white Ford Taurus.

Anyone with information regarding the identity or whereabouts of the men should call the sheriff’s office at (706) 541-2800.
