AIKEN -- The Aiken County Council will address several issues at its Tuesday night meeting, including a final reading for their upcoming budget and some hold over expenses from an April tornado that hit Beech Island and Petticoat Junction hard.

The full council meeting will start at 7 p.m. at the county council’s building on Richland Avenue, being preceded by some committee meeting that start at 4 p.m.

The budget, which calls for no millage increase and starts July 1, is set for a third and final reading.

There’s also a proposal to allow up to $45,000 for emergency storm cleanup costs incurred during the April 10 tornado that caused millions of dollars in damage in the county.
