N. Augusta city council to discuss sewage rates

The North Augusta city council will have the final reading of a sewage rate increase tonight. If passed, residents will pay about 57 cents more each month. The rate change would take effect July 1.

An increase in Aiken County's rates will cost North Augusta $147,825 extra for sewage usage, which is being passed on to residents.

The 7 p.m. meeting will beheld at the municipal builing located at 400 E. Buena Vista Avenue.
