Man shot, wounded this morning, but won't talk to police

A man is recovering in the hospital after being shot in the leg in south Augusta early this morning.

According to Richmond County sheriff's Sgt. Ronald Sylvester, officers received a call about 2 a.m. in reference to a shooting at 3413 Cauthen Drive. When officers arrived, they did not find anyone.

A man who was a victim of a shooting showed up at University Hospital about 2:30 a.m. with a wound to his left leg.

Sgt. Sylvester said the victim was being uncooperative in the investigation.

Hardly a day goes by that someone doesn't get shot in Richmond County.

If he will not cooperate why

If he will not cooperate why treat him? It will more than likely cost tax payer for his treatment. There ought to be a simple rule posted at the hospital. If you do not tell us what happened with names we will not treat you.

Treat him then put him in

Treat him then put him in jail make him tell what happened or make him post bond.If it's going to cost him anything he will talk.
