Savannah hiker dies in N.Y. fall

HUNTER, N.Y. — A Georgia man hiking with a companion died of injuries after falling 60 feet.

State police said Jeremy Mullins, 32, of Savannah, slipped and fell on Saturday while on a narrow trail near the Kaaterskill Falls. The plunge sent him to the rocks below.

An autopsy performed today determined the cause of death was multiple trauma because of the fall.
