An Augusta man is facing shoplifting charges after his colostomy bag broke in the North Augusta Wal-Mart.

Police say Charlestoneus Rodreze Jones, 30, of the 1200 block of Mauge Street, put on three pair of shorts over his pants and left the store without paying for them on Thursday.

His colostomy bag broke as he was attempting to leave the store, police said, prompting security to notice he was wearing the extra items.

He tried to flee, but police caught him in the parking lot of Lowe’s across the street.

Mr. Jones was taken to the Medical College of Georgia Hospital.
