Another Greenbrier High School product was taken today in the Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft.

Jeff Rowland, a draft-eligible sophomore at Georgia Tech, was drafted by the Cleveland Indians this afternoon with the 635th overal pick.

Rowland, the 14th pick of the 21st round, helped the Greenbrier Wolfpack win a pair of Class AAAA state championships in 2006 and 2007 before signing with Georgia Tech after his senior year. He was a high school teammate of Rich Poythress, who was drafted Tuesday in the second round by the Seattle Mariners.
