Escaped inmate James McCracken was taken into custody this morning about 1:40 a.m. in Horry County, S.C.

According to a state press release, Mr. McCracken, a minimum-security inmate who walked away from his work site Tuesday at Perdue Farms in Dillon, S.C., will be charged with felony escape, a crime that carries up to 15 years in prison.
