Cell phone policy up for review

  • Follow Latest News

Aiken County administrators hope to put a stop to students sneaking text messages and calls during the school day.

At its meeting tonight the school board will review revisions to the student conduct policy, which includes a harsher policy for cell phone use. The revision would require students to keep the cell phone in their car or locker. If it needs to be used, they have to ask permission from the front office. Currently students can keep a cell phone in their book bag, but they aren’t allowed to use it during class.

The 7 p.m. meeting will be held at 1000 Brookhaven Drive.

Much simpler to just ban them

Much simpler to just ban them from school. They need to make a call, go to office. Worked for me.
